Mintec Brexit Survey

Following the UK’s decision to leave the EU, volatile currency markets, changing trade agreements, and concerns over global investment have all made the procurement industry the one to watch.

As part of our Mintec/CIPS knowledge partnership, we are conducting a survey to see just how procurement professionals are perceiving, and reacting to, Brexit. Did you conduct a risk analysis beforehand? Do you see this as an opportunity? How are you prepared moving forward?

By completing this short survey, which should take you no longer than 10 minutes, you will be helping us to understand how we can support each other moving forward into the new procurement landscape post-Brexit.

We will share the results of the survey in the coming weeks. We look forward to hearing from you.

Mintec Picnic Index 2016

It looks like the warmer weather has finally arrived in the UK, and what better way to celebrate than having a picnic! The contents of a picnic basket may differ depending on personal preference and culture. However, there are certainly some items that are more common across Europe compared to the rest of the world.

We have put together a list of these items and indexed them to January 2013 so we can see how the price is moving from year to year. The Mintec Picnic Index is up 3% compared to the same time last year. There was a clear upward trend, largely due to a sharp increase in autumn, when the index rose 16% between September and November. Let us now look into what has been driving our index over the past twelve months.
