Affiliate membership is ideal for anyone who is not seeking to become professionally qualified with one of our professional levels of Qualification for example, but who does have a strong interest in purchasing and supply. Affiliate membership will give you access to membership benefits and does not require any entry qualifications or past experience.

The Management Entry Route (MER)is designed for purchasing professionals who are already operating in a senior role within procurement or supply chain management (SCM), who have extensive on-the-job experience, but may not have procurement or SCM qualifications. You many have reached your current role, for instance, through working in Financial Management or General Management followed by a career move within your organisation or industry.

Where you begin your advanced studies depends on your qualifications and experience. CIPS Certificate and Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations are for those in operational roles. Our Diploma quailfications are aimed at those managing the procurement and supply function. We advise students to progress through the qualifications in sequence to provide the underpinning knowledge needed to move up the qualifcations ladder.
