IFPSM announcement

The International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM) recently issued an announcement about its new global standard.

We believe that this announcement may cause confusion amongst our members and partners. The IFPSM global standard is, in effect, an accreditation service for the qualifications and training programmes of the Federation’s member associations and not a global academic standard in its own right.

This distinguishes it from the CIPS professional standard, targeting people, processes and performance, which is constantly under review and development and which is an internationally-recognised professional standard and the benchmark for our profession.
